Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known in English as Baron von Richthofen or the Red Baron, was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force, and is largely considered one of the most successful flying aces of that time. His Fokker Dr. I triplane instilled fear in the British troops, which eventually found their footing in air superiority. In this action-packed puzzle, the Red Baron retreats under fire of two Sopwith Camels–perhaps one of these is the very plane eventually credited with his defeat.
